Let There Be 'Lectrics!

Yes, it's true, not all guitars are acoustics; some have single coils and some have buckers, and all of those have some serious electrons. Build 'em, work on 'em, mods, questions, Put 'em here!

Let There Be 'Lectrics!

My first 5 builds were all electrics, and I loved making them; since I got into acoustics, I've only made one, and I miss 'em,
I can here another build, (Several, actually), calling.

Do you make 'em, want to, work on 'em, do mods, have thoughts and questions about any of that?

Let's put some threads up then.

I shoulda done this from the get go, 'cause electrics are real guitars too; don't let nobody tell ya otherwise!

:D

Hey Sludge - 6 strings on a stick, makes noise - I agree must be a guitar! I'll be making one ONE DAY, got a backlog to clear up first though!

I have three in the works right now....including the one dennis once dubed hinnencaster I believe. :D

I also just started a thread here about a kick ass bass I will be building with a local highschool kid for his senior project. I had no responses to that post, but I am still searching for some neck through materials, as well as a nice walnut droptop for it.

Man, I'm jonesing so bad to build a Tele so bad I can't stand it. I really miss my old Tele. I had her set up just like I wanted and let her go like a fool. Gotta get to building one.

Hey, thanks, Brian! That may be just the kick I need to get started on one! I'm actually thinking about building a "Pinecaster". I've yet to play one, but I've heard folks swear by 'em for tone. Gotta study out how to do the skunk stripe neck, I'm a fan of solid maple for Tele's.

Hey, for all you Tejas boys,

I got pickup templates for everything, Fender neck pocket template, assorted stuff, lots of the tiny esoteric electronic components, (Caps and whatnot).

Just let me know!
