I have to re-right this because I did'nt have time today.
what I ment to say
because I have'nt had to time to make a jig to do the binding , and being a one man band
Today I use this to hold the harp. worked but still hard to hold and do one bindings.

I think I might stay with the white binding because it easy! and I have a lot of maple
and it would be the same as the other build I just finish.well still thinking about it.

am going with the Rope Binding, Ill be sprending this week mainly on the binding..making them and installing them.

Ill try to get the most important parts of building them in the photos...
I think i used 1/4 thickx 3 wide by 30 length...
7 pieces of mahogany and 7 pieces of maple.

I used a 1/2 bottel of glue but am not sure If i need more ...if so i'll have to reglue or try it again...we see this week.
I rolled it on...and i just dont think i got enough glue...i did'nt see it ooos out the side of the wood! .well this should be fun...

I have to go today and bid on a remodel...but I try to get down to the shop and get some work done on this ...

The kids had a party to go too and I came back down to the shop and check the glue look dryed. so I ran the piece in a jointer then resaw the pieces
into slaces..almost the same as a back thickness....

Image

then ran it on my saw at a 45de ,all taped up ...thickness sanded again the cleaned the edges up...

take a look...notice how ill glued the rope binding onto a backing of maple...and there angled

you can almost see how i would cut them ...there glueing to the backing as I right this...
