Telescaster build

Yes, it's true, not all guitars are acoustics; some have single coils and some have buckers, and all of those have some serious electrons. Build 'em, work on 'em, mods, questions, Put 'em here!

Telescaster build

Post by dofthesea » Sat Mar 07, 2015 11:41 am

Getting close to finishing this one. It started out as a Fiesta Red but the color is off so now I think it will be a Muddy Waters version as he used to play a Red Tele. Ash body, Flamed maple neck, rosewood fretboard, and a mint green pick gaurd.

Nice looking Tele, I have an American Standard and it is my favorite electric (even over my Strat, and I LOVE my Strat)

I've always been a Strat guy but then I started playing G & L ASATs in the 90's. My main ax for 10 years was an ASAT with 3 pick ups start style.

That will get you noticed on stage!

Are you doing anything special for pickups? Hotrodding?

Thanks for the compliments fellows.

Dennis I'm using RH Factor Vintage Style Pickups. They are a relatively low end Pickup retailer. Most of his pickups get pretty good reviews and the prices can't be beat. $68 for the pair. I'll post a review of these once I get them installed.
