Yes, I thought that might be the case. But like I said, yours is more better, and definitely more cheaper! Those tuners—kudos! Steve Steve, I did some more checking. The Depaule rosette has an inside diameter of 4.25". The OUTSIDE diameter of the rosette on the guitars I am replicating is 4.18...

I realize I am getting ahead of myself, and I will go back and show the process, But here is a test fit of all of the parts, minus gears and tuning buttons. The one string post ended up a little short, hence the bushing. I found some .1406" diameter brass rod (same size as the worm gear shafts)...

OK, about ready to begin assembling the tuners. First, I am making most of the parts from scratch. I will be using the gears from a cheap set of tuners ($12).
