Have the back plate engraved foe another set of tuners. A simpler design, but similar to many from the 1830's. Waiting on some more brass rod and then will show how these go together.

All done and polished. A few wiggles in the border,but the original had that, too,

The engraving is done. Now, need to stamp the border and buff out the roughness from the engraving. Then drill and countersink the remaining holes. Then polish it up. A few irregularities, but the design is so busy that they won't be that obvious. g

OK, a sneak peek at engraving the back plate for the tuners. Very difficult to get a decent photo. Don't laugh, I am learning as I go. g
