Thanks Waddy, Manuel, David, and Hugh!

I can't tell you how great it is getting feedback from people you respect! Pretty neat feeling, sitting back in the woods in s.e. Oklahoma, and sharing, learning, and making friends with kindred spirits around the world. I would say this is pretty much what it's all about.

David the soundhole isn't that big, 3 3/4", but the waist is only 7 1/2", so I guess that's why it looks large. Does a good job of getting the sound out though.

Which leads to sound files. Hugh, I haven't got there yet in my computer skills, something I need to work on. I'm on a mac and that has garageband built in, just need to learn how to get from here to there.

Thanks for all the comments guys,
Joe

Joe,

What a great looking guitar. You did the wood good.

Very nice Joe. I really like that rosette and the label is great.

Maybe after sleep deprived Dennis gets some rest he can show us both how to make a sound file and post it.

If I'm not mistaken isn't there a ladder brace following close behind? I really would like to hear the difference.

Did you mean fourth build this year??? Looks like a pro to me.

It may be sapele Randy, it is some kind of mahogany type
Yep...definitely ribbon Sapeli, then. Tone and workability wise, I can't tell any difference between sapeli and mahogany, but there again, since moving to China, all I can get is Sapeli and African Mahogany. I use the ribbon sapeli for my necks. I can get huge 2" thick slabs of it for a song from my ex-landlord (Veneer Factory).

Thanks for the great comments guys!

Raymond the ladder braced is in my Ditson builds. I'm doing an x-braced and a ladder braced there to isolate the difference for my personal education. Hopefully will have an update there soon.

Thanks guys,
Joe

Oops. Right builder, but wrong build.

You're cranking them out so fast I'm getting confused. ;)

Looking good.
