Semi hollow body electric guitar and bass.

Yes, it's true, not all guitars are acoustics; some have single coils and some have buckers, and all of those have some serious electrons. Build 'em, work on 'em, mods, questions, Put 'em here!

One thing I should mention or remention.... is the TM wood hates routers...I've learned the hard way to scribe everything with a sharp razor blade before I do anything with this stuff...it blows up way too easy...I shellaced the whole top on this bass as a precaution...still had some tear out till I scribed the pickup and neck cutouts.

Hmm, I have had just the opposite experience with routing the TM wood...cuts really clean and does not fuzz up. Maybe dull bits??

Well, I am talking about binding and purfling channels and rosettes and soundholes. Maybe you are talking about bigger hogging off of wood.

But I also routered TM monkeypod and ash for speakeasy trim and all went well. Just my experience.

What were you routering that "blew up" ?

Modified curly maple for the necks... when I got up around the headstock it tore chunks out...cut off and reglued new ears on and same thing happened, 3rd time I just sanded the shape I wanted.

Modified spruce top had some tear out in it as well...cutting in the f holes and routing out for the pick up...thats when I started scoring everything.

Might just be the type of wood...because when I did the modified monkey pod I had no issues
