FWIW. My logic on keeping the color bands thin is so it doesn't distract from the "F" hole. My latest Tele has a Koa top, and has a similar burst finish.
Next big decision Eben, ye ol' pick guard!

Well, "IF" you put one on, and then have another poll to figure out what type, consider my vote cast for a wood pick guard. Never seen it on a Tele, But I'm thinkin' you're the man to make it happen!
