Whoops, sorry Joe!

For sealer and grain filler I just use foam brushes - I rinse 'em out and I can do all that stuff with one just fine - Since I'm sanding all that back pretty aggressively, I figure it don't much matter what I apply with!

Hey, Jim - Good for you - Take a day of rest on, us, OK?

OK, sanded the two filler coats back down through 320 grit, then gave 'er a final sealer coat, prior to the first couple of tint coats...

Ok, done one seal coat, and now doing vintage amber color coats and am brushing this one with the production lacquer, so it'll be cool to see how she goes! Pics once they're is enough amber ot make more pics worthwhile...

You know what?

This thing looks OK with amber, and it brings the grain out, etc, but...

I kinda think it's boring.

It will look cool with the raw wood and black hardware, but I'm almost thinking about a 3 tone burst finish:

Thoughts about that?

I think that would be really sweet looking. Tabacco?

Boy....that's a tough call on a Thinline body. I'm thinking more of a two tone vintage tobacco burst. Keeping the outer band fairly narrow. Either way, Sounds like it's time to play around in Photo-Shop for a while and see what tickles yer fancy! Here's my old '72 reissue in natural finish just for giggles.

For my own self, I'd prefer the wood as is , but that's just my opinion. (looks great, by the way!)
