Saw a post thread on here some where, where they used their table saw for the X brace. And was like, "Well lets break out the dado blades and see just how tight I can make these." And it worked great. Gluing braces to tops now.

Top braced, dedicated, and glued up. It already roars, in a warm robust and well mannered way of course!!

hahahahhaha I think you have more balls in the air than I do, and that's saying something! You must have about 5 acoustics and a couple of electrics going simultaneously! Any progress on this (pair)? No? Well, hurry the heck up!

Yeah actually waiting for my purfling order to show up so I can finish the binding. Necks are being shaped, head plated and back venered too.

And I think my current active builds are around 8 but I have 10ish going in my head.

Active:
2 GH's Slope shoulder Dred for Mike G to pick from.
1 SC Proto - Small Concert for Healdsburg
2 O's - SJ's for Healdsburg
72 Thinline
Double Top R
HD Prototype - Archtop / Hollowbody (Hopefully for Healdsburg)

Passive: Parts cut and set aside but no action lately
JC Single cut bass Proto. Will stay in pieces for a while
And a Hollowbody version of my Model E.

I don't like building just 1 at a time, I can't just wait for glue to dry. These should look pert-near done soon.

Spent the day with Mike G. Talked about these guitars and visited Brain Applegate. Great day.

Updated pics, still got some headstock profiling to finish, and the neck and body are ready to bind. I'll hopefully spraying in 2 weeks.

The BRW just looks warmer to me but the walnut probably would warm up depending on if you use a shellac on it. I used siam seedlac over my walnut and it warmed it up nicely. What finish do you use and pore fill?
