Re: Left Handed Parter Bass

I agree with Padma that this color brings back memories. I remember seeing lots of guitars and basses in those 50's colors of yellow, light green, light blue, and off white. The headstock is Fender style and size but, of course no Fender logo. I did design and purchase a decal that simply says "...

Re: Left Handed Parter Bass

The pickups are the DiMarzio DP127 Split P Replacement Pickup for Fender P Bass which IMHO blow away the stock Fender American Precision bass pickup. Each unit is a humbucker and it sounds very deep or crisp depending on the tone control setting. The wiring harness has a huge Orange Sprague Capacito...

Re: Left Handed Parter Bass

Hi all I am back on line because Glen and I finished the Bass!!!!! It is done, I have played it and it sounds great, real deep in fact I would put it up against a Fender American Precision Bass. It brings me back to 1974 (a very good year) when I was a Teenager and wanting to play like Deep Purple, ...

Re: Left Handed Parter Bass

After positioning all the metal parts we drill the hole for the grounding cable from the base of the bridge to the control cavity. The angle is tricky so it is important to measure and position several times to get it right the first time. http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/ss188/stephenmicare/CIMG0...

http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/ss188/stephenmicare/CIMG0858.jpg Ok, after breaking off to fixing some Gibson SG guitars, Glen and I are back at the bass. Last week we put all the hardware on the bass body and neck. Above was the most difficult part - EXACT placement of the Bass Bridge. This is ...

Re: Left Handed Parter Bass

For this Precision bass I would like to color it a very light yellow. I had two choices that came very close: Bananna Split and Pale Sunshine. This color works great with a white pickguard. I do not like the yellow with the black pickguard as it does look rotton. Back around 1974 I bought a guitar j...
