Looks good Joe. Hope you can reuse that pick guard. I have changed a lot of ladder braced to X braced . It always sounds better to me. I hope we can hear that guitar someday.

I drilled hole in the heel to glue in this 1/2" dowel to give my 1/4" hanger bolt something to screw into other than endgrain, and I carved some v-cuts into to give the excess glue a little room to squeeze out. You can also see here the t-bar neck reinforcement this has. http://i337.photob...

Go Joe! I have done a couple dozen like this and the solid top always sounds much better. I like the Madeira and Conn guitars best.
